Chilli Jam.

Obviously we love our pyjamas, but when they just aren’t enough to warm you up we have to stretch to other things. Here is a copy of our favourite chilli jam recipe that has produced many a wondrous pot.

8 red peppers , deseeded and roughly chopped
10 red chillies , roughly chopped
finger-sized piece fresh root ginger , peeled and roughly chopped
8 garlic cloves , peeled
400g can cherry tomatoes
750g golden caster sugar
250ml red wine vinegar

  1. Tip the peppers, chillies (with seeds), ginger and garlic into a food processor, then whizz until very finely chopped. Scrape into a heavy-bottomed pan with the tomatoes, sugar and vinegar, then bring everything to the boil. Skim off any scum that comes to the surface, then turn the heat down to a simmer and cook for about 50 mins, stirring occasionally.
  2. Once the jam is becoming sticky, continue cooking for 10-15 mins more, stirring frequently so that it doesn’t catch and burn. It should now look like thick, bubbling lava. Cool slightly, transfer to sterilised jars, then leave to cool completely. Keeps for 3 months in a cool, dark cupboard - refrigerate once opened.

As taken from BBC good food.

Time for some warming chilli jam to help cheer up the sandwiches at lunch before making more pjs

10 years later we are still making pyjamas that are fun, bright and most of all a little bit silly. Nobody else makes Union Jack pyjamas like we do, or vivid daisies or even flamboyant ice creams. We believe that pyjamas should be fun, they should be comfy and they should last. That’s why we make most of our pyjamas ourselves in the UK with fabrics that represent our love of colour and quality. Here is a few of our highlights from the last 10 years, here’s to the next 10.

Our love of union jacks has reached another level. Biscuits any one?

The sun is out and we can’t wait for the summer, especially now these ice cream pyjama’s are available. You’ll find them on our websites.

We want to know where you’re off to your summer holidays? Pj-s is going to Scotland for its annual holiday. We love the quiet beaches, cold sea and plenty of sausages on the bbq. Let us know what you think of these, we hope you love them as much as we do.
